Resort Amenities

Some of the fish you can catch in the lake are Large Mouth Bass, Crappie, Stripers, Cat Fish, and Sun Fish. They say if a state record is to be broken it will come out of this lake. 

 You can play on our Pro Mini Golf course during the day or at night under the lights amongst the water features, such as waterfalls, fountains, and rivers. 

We have 3 Cornhole Courts with private sitting areas right under our 74' tall Abe Lincoln. 

Hike the trails, go for a walk around the lake, or go down the river path.

Kayak trips down the Embarras River from The Bella Vita Resort to Lake Charleston and beyond. Rent a kayak and go on an adventure down river we will pick you up at Lake Charleston and bring you back to the resort. 

 Rent a boat for the day to fish or just enjoy the lake and explore.

 Go swimming in the lake the water is swimming pool clean. You can also rent inner tube floaties for 1,2,or 4 people. 

 Feed the fish off the pier and see them close up in the clear lake water

Archery Range with bows and Arrows. A safety class given at the resort and adult supervision is required. 

The Lincoln Prairie Grass Trail runs 12 miles, much of the way along an old railroad right-of-way  Nice way to spend a beautiful day biking 12+ miles on an asphalt trail.  T

 Gather around the fire, roast marshmallows with friends and family, meet someone new, and tell stories.
